This machine is designed for filling premade doypacks, sachets, and similar pouches. It utilizes 16 to 20 servo motors, which can vary depending on the pouch type or client requirements. I implemented various motion control techniques to enable flexibility in servo motions through the HMI (Human-Machine Interface). The HMI allows users to modify servo motion types, offering up to eight distinct motion patterns (e.g., forward-return-forward-return) within a single motion cycle.
Another critical aspect is the motion profiles. To enhance machine speed, I used a cycloidal motion profile, which significantly reduced noise and improved motion smoothness.
On the filling side, the machine supports three types of filling mechanisms:
The most challenging and important was the auger filling system. It is servo-controlled and requires precise cam-based operation. To optimize performance, I employed a 'Double Harmonic' motion profile, which minimized servo faults and effectively stopped product flow at the end of the cam cycle.
The machine uses a Hot Sealing Jaw system for sealing pouches. I implemented a PID-controlled heating system to precisely regulate the jaw temperatures
