Rotary Flask Filling Machine

Project Description

This machine is designed for filling and capping flasks, equipped with 44 filling heads. It includes three types of axes:

  • Filler Rotary Axis
  • Capping Rotary Axis
  • Capping Axes

For managing the filling heads and capping axes, I used for-loops and object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts. The code is almost 100% automated for calculations required during operation. This provides very high accuracy and optimization for PLC performance.

To manage the filling amount, two selectable filling systems are included :

  • Filling with Flow Meter: Controls the filling valves based on flow meter values.
  • Filling with Time: Controls the filling valves based on a predefined filling time.

Another critical point is ease of operation. I designed both the HMI and PLC sides to be user-friendly. The operator can easily run the machine by simply setting the first head — all other parameters are automatically calculated and the system is ready to run!

This machine capacity can up to 45000bph
